Your comprehensive dental exam includes a panoramic xray of entire mouth, digital xrays of teeth, extraoral and intraoral exam, oral cancer screening, and oral hygiene instructions.  Your dental cleanings are performed with ultrasonic or hand instruments for your comfort. 

To provide you with the most esthetic results and enhance your smile, areas of decay or broken down teeth are restored with resin composite or tooth colored fillings .  Since they do not contain metal, different color shades can be selected to match the natural color of your teeth.  Amalgam or silver fillings may also be replaced with tooth color fillings.

Teeth with extensive caries or fractured can often be restored with crowns or "caps".  Crowns can be fabricated from different materials (gold, porcelain fused to metal, or all porcelain) according to your preference, tooth function, or esthetics desired.

A bridge has been the traditional restoration for replacing missing teeth.  It is attached permanently to teeth at either side of the missing tooth space.  Your new bridge not only improves your appearance but also your hability to chew more effectively.  As with crowns, several material options area available for bridges.

When multiple teeth are missing, a removable partial denture may be the best option to replace them.  Material options available include metal plate with acrylic or all plastic.   They give your face profile an younger appearance and allow you to eat a wider variety of foods.

When the nerve inside of a tooth is necrotic or has irreversible damage, the tooth can still be saved.  Root canal treatments clean and desinfect the internal surfaces of the tooth allowing for healing of the tissues around the roots.  Advances in anesthesia and sedation make this treatment a comfortable procedure for the patient. 

In cases where teeth have extensive damage or severe periodontal disease around them, extractions of teeth may be necessary to prevent infections that could affect the rest of your body.
